The Howick Youth Council is a collective of passionate individuals striving to make Howick, Botany, Ormiston, and Pakuranga a more attractive and vibrant place for its young people.
We are an independent and non-partisan entity that operates with and is funded by the Howick Local Board.

That the Howick Youth Council represents youth voices in initiating changes in our community.

We seek to empower youth to bring about a positive influence in our community by ensuring their voices are heard in the decisions that shape our city.
The Howick Youth Council does this by organising events, advocating for issues that matter to young people, and facilitating consultation on council plans that will impact youth.
